WORKSHOP FACILITATION
Workshops and seminars are my preferred method of both learning and sharing ideas and experience. The intensive environment generates a powerful energy that can result in rapid brainstorming and experimentation with projects within a flexible framework. As a facilitator, it is essential to consider the individual attributes of the participants and encourage synergistic collaborations.

Areas of workshop/seminar expertise include: art, activism& performance; Photograph;, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) surveillance; and experimental applications/uses of new media technologies in art. I facilitate critical dialogue on intersecting topics of art and technology, and hands-on project collaboration in relation to current cultural, & socio-political concerns. I approach these workshops as opportunities to engage in critical discourse, undertake creative and experimental challenges, and strengthen international artistic networks and communities.

TEACHING
In academic art settings, my teaching philosophy revolves around facilitation and mentoring in addition to more traditional content-based delivery. Students are encouraged to engage in and take responsibility for learning, creating and critical thought. In general, course content is balanced between historical context, contemporary issues, and practical skills. Areas of specialization include: digital arts (photo, video, interactive), traditional photography, installation & new genres, history of photography and contemporary art theory.
